March Manicure Madness, Day Thirteen: St. Patrick’s Day

First things first: Paddy, not Patty. Got that? Yes? Okay now we can move on.

So, technically, this should be Day Seventeen rather than Day Thirteen, it being 17th March and everything, but I’m a few days behind so JEEZ GIVE ME A BREAK ALREADY.

I am composed. Ahem.

Onwards to the Paddy’s Day manicure! I went for a green gradient manicure, topped with multicolour glitter. I started with one thick coat of Essence Colour & Go 18 Check Me Out.

Then I painted the bottom 2/3rds with Rimmel Play Fast 800 Camouflage, using a slightly dried brush to stipple the edges.

Finally, I did the tips with Essence Multi Dimension 64 Trendsetter which, actually, was a little bit dark to make a smooth gradient. Meh, too late!

Barely waiting for it to dry, I added one coat of OPI Rainbow Connection…

… Followed swiftly by a second coat, to cover up the colour differences.

I’d also like to add a photo from an awesome friend of mine, who does not have a beauty blog but SHOULD (hint hint) because she’s always posting fabulous manicures on Facebook. Here’s her patriotic St. Patrick’s Day nail art…

Gorgeous, no? Plenty more tomorrow!
